1. THE BAGA BEACH

 



If you ask for places to visit in Goa; always the first proposal would be the Baga beach. Being the utmost popular beach of Goa, Baga is located around 30 Km North of Panaji. The same is also beloved for its nightlife and a wide range of water sports that could attract you to dive in. The name BAGA came  after the 'Baga creek' that flows into the Arabian sea, is an spot where the nature offers you its lap adding calm wind blow and an admirable sunset view.

 

2. BASILICA OF BOM JESUS

 



The step you proceed, the history follows you. Along with its natural allure, Goa is also 
notable to many for its historic regime and  BASILICA OF BOM JESUS is the crown of this substantial dynasty. It is approx 9km from the center and was build around 400 years ago to house the tomb and remains of St. Francis Xavier and this remains are taken out once every decade. This church is a UNESCO World heritage site and is an attribute to Portuguese rule. The place is a must visit while your Goa journey.

 

3. CALANGUTE BEACH 

 


 


This "Queen of beaches" is the largest and utmost commercialised beach of north Goa situated 15 km from Panaji, the capital of Goa. This widespread horizon of sand and water with calm breezes across the field is all set to toss your mood in popping puddle. Although the beach is evergreen but its lustre attains peak during Christmas, New Year and summer in May when it offers you water sport activities like parasailing, banana ride, water skiing, and much more. You can also live it up food corners, Gaming and different clubs at night which could make your mood to swing up.

 

4. FORT AGUADA 

 


 


Goa is impeccable blend of natural and historic landmarks where you can follow nature and history simultaneously. The next content in the que of "Places to visit in Goa" is the momentous Aguada fort. It was built by portuguese empire long ago in 1612 on Sinquerim Beach, to act as a shield against Dutch and Marathas. Located at aphoristic farness of as short as 18 km from Panjim, the fort is open all days of the week from 9.30am to 6.00pm. You can also witness a four storeyed lighthouse, built in 1864 which is the oldest of its kind in Asia. The Portuguese military architecture, the absoluteness of peninsula, secret passageways, the top stairs of Lighthouse make this place more adventurous and a must visit spot in Goa.

 

5. DUDHSAGAR FALLS

 


 


The sea of milk i.e. Dudhsagar falls is literally a place where nature offers you the nectar of   amusement, cheer and comfort. Located at a distance around 60 km from Panaji by road near sanguem taluka, Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India's 4th tallest waterfalls having an elevation over 1000 feet. The fall shot to fame after being pictured in the blockbuster from 2013, Chennai Express. Dudhsagar turn into its most radiant and ravishing appearance towards the end of the monsoon, when it has abundant water, and it's relatively easier to trek once the rains are over.
