Bucharest to Amsterdam. Very quick flight, just 2hrs 15mins. Excellent conditions for a very low fare. Great free food, free drinks and great staff. Most importantly it was fast, which is the no.1 criteria for air travel.

Having booked Air Bulgaria for our flight from Bucharest to Sofia on 2892016, we did not realise we were bumped to this Tarom flight instead. Flight was delayed for a long 2.5 hours, and our flight was not alone. Based on the announcement board, I have seen another two Tarom flights to Budapest were also delayed around the same time as our flight. As luck was not on our side, the other two flights took off slightly earlier than ours. This has left me thinking that this airline has no qualms in delaying their flights. It seems their clients time are not important to them. Maybe as a form of compensation, we were given free sandwiches and drinks after our flight finally departed at about 10pm. We finally reached our Sofia hotel close to midnight. This is surely one airline we would avoid at all costs when flying in Europe.

Vienna to Cluj. It is unacceptable for Austrian and the airport to condone disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour by Tarom. Tarom flight 348 was meant to leave for Cluj at 10.40am on 22 December. Since the morning, there have been two silent announcements (displayed on the screen) re delayed departure without any explanations or apologies. There has been no staff at the departure gate for all these hours and the customer service team in the main area of the airport were unhelpful, blaming the airline and advising they have no information. The latest delay was 7 hour after the scheduled time. Disappointing and disrespectful of Tarom.

Flew from Chișinău to Bucharest. Tarom is the Romanian flag carrier. It is one of the wold first airlines (founded in 1930s as LARES). They have highly trained pilots and excellent ground technical staff. But, all the planes are old (9-19 years old) and some of them require cabin and interiors upgrade. A major issue are delays because the fleet is intensively exploited on company's routes (an ATR plane usually makes up to 8 flights per day). The planes are clean, but the interiors might look old and outdated. They offer free food and beverages (even wine) on their flights, but there is no inflight entertainment. In OTP airport they have a drop off counter for international flights (may be for local as well, but I am not sure). I like the airline. I would recommend it and fly with them only, but they need to buy new planes.

Bucharest to Athens with A318. Cheap ticket for this route with TAROM. Despite having to share the route with Aegean and Ryanair the flights were almost full with on time departures. The aircraft is dated and a little bit dirty. The new airfi (IFE) from TAROM is ok but limited in options (3 movies, some games, more music and information about the airline). No internet connection but for such a short flight is ok. The cabin crew need some upgrade on smiling and behaviour. They give you the impression that you need to be happy that they are onboard not the other way. Very smooth takeoff and landings. Meals and beverages are provided free of charge: sandwiches and drinks including alcohol. I will choose TAROMfor sure in the future but please upgrade the aircraft and send the cabin crew to some courses for training

I flew from Bucharest to Munich via Sibiu with TAROM Romanian. The flight from Bucharest was an A318 in good condition. New for Tarom, they provide Airfi onboard. The flight departed and landed on time. The food on-board was excellent, a small breakfast but very tasty - rare nowadays on a short flight. Flight attendants were very polite. Another excellent experience with Tarom.

Munich to Bucharest on a Boeing 737-300. Excellent conditions for a cheap fare. Meal for this short flight was a sandwich and a small cake, free drinks and great staff. Most importantly it was very fast, which is the no.1 criteria from my point of view.

Bucharest to Amsterdam. There was a 1h15 min delay for some sort of plane problem. The checked luggage was already in the problematic plane and TAROM and transfered luggage into the new plane. The seat was fine for economy and the leg room was good. The food was the best part as it was fresh and warm.

Amsterdam to Chisinau via Bucharest and Bucharest to Alicante. Tarom offers a reasonable product at a decent price. From Amsterdam an all economy new Boeing 737-800 with SKY interior was used. Spacious luggage bins, and leg room decent. On board a baguette, banana, cookie in a plastic bag was offered and a selection of drinks (incl winebeer). Transfer in Bucharest is easy although staff at security is mega rude and unfriendly. Tarom has a lounge but selection of food is limited to the cheapest chips, biscuits and yoghurt. Definitely room for improvement. Flight to Chisinau by noisy ATR42- 2 classes. From Bucharest to Alicante again a baguette and drinks on short flight fromto KIV and a hot meal to Alicante. Flight delayed by 1h30 due to ATC strike in France. Onboard staff reasonably friendly. Pilots don't seem to be instructed to make any (welcome) announcements. Will fly again though network is very limited.

I flew last weekend from Vienna to Bucharest and back and was as pleased as usual. My flight to Bucharest was operated by an Airbus A318 aircraft which was clean and my return flight was carried out by an ageing B737-300 aircraft. Both flights were around 90% full with passengers although the check-in and boarding process was simple and quick. Nice warm meals offered on both flights (Lasagne on one flight Chicken with rice on the other). Both flights were on-time. Flight attendants seem to have changed a lot over the last few years as they used to lack attentiveness and enthusiasm and now they've improved significantly in all areas. Once again I highly recommend Tarom especially for this particular route since its competitor Austrian offers extremely poor services and whose Cabin crew are not attentive during flight.

Flew from London Heathrow to Bucharest last week on RO 392 and had once again a very pleasurable experience with Tarom. The flight departed on-time which was very helpful since I had a connecting flight to catch in Bucharest. Food and drinks on board were once again fabulous comparing it to other legacy carriers. Flight Attendants were a lot more helpful than in the previous years and their command of the English language has also improved significantly. The flight was about 90% full yet the check-in and boarding were anything but chaotic. Once again very pleased with Tarom and I continue to recommend them.

BUC-AMS RO363 13 Feb 2015. AMS-BUC RO364 16 Feb 2015. The planes were A318s. Both flights had a load factor of about 90%. The flights were comfortable and I rarely felt turbulence which was impressive considering the weather. The interior was good with sufficient legroom nothing spectacular about it. It was definitely better than Tarom's old seats and interior in its 737s. The fact that the plane had monitors showing the flight path was a great feature (something that usually lacks with airlines on European routes). A big plus was the food and drinks on board. A good cooked meal is something that is rarely seen on European routes these days (where they usually just serve a sandwich). On the hand the staff service was average. They provided what was needed were helpful at times and had an ok attitude. But they could provide a better service by smiling more and being more friendly and helpful. Especially when compared to other airlines that fly to Bucharest. All in all being only the second time I flew with Tarom I would rate my trip as positive and would recommend the airline to others.

I just wonder how they can provide poor services like that. I check-in online and reserve two seats, they are confirmed at baggage drop-off and when I board the plane they tell me the seats changed for some reason. Even the services provided on-board were poor. On the bright side the food was OK, the air plane and the pilots were also OK. The conclusion: if you fly with this airline expect last minute changes.

Vienna to Bucharest yesterday. Flight left and arrived on time. A full warm breakfast was served. My ticket cost € 118 for a return trip which is a terrific price. The flight was around 90% full, and Tarom flight attendants need to slightly improve their attitude towards the passengers, by being welcoming and not as robotic.

This airline looked to be the best and cheapest way to get from Prague to Istanbul. The almost 4 hour layover in Bucharest was a bit of a pain as it is not a very nice airport. No complaints with the flights. Check-in was quick. Comfortable as far as planes can be, with good onboard service. Decent snacks served for these short flights. We were delayed leaving Bucharest but we were kept informed.

Bucharest to Belgrade return and a round-trip ticket cost 119 Euros. Both flights about 70% Full. Food consisted of a sandwich and a chocolate bar and sufficient for such a short flight. The flight attendants were relatively kind, less so on return flight. Both flights on time. Seats confortable and legroom was fine for someone who is 1.98m tall.

Even if the aircraft was an old one, the seatpitch was more than enough compared with newer aircrafts. The flight lasted almost 3 hours and I did not need inflight entertainment, neither WiFi, which were both non existent on board. Cabin crew very attentive and smiling. They served a hot meal which was very good for a 3 hour flight and a wide variety of beverages. Departure and arival on time. As a frequent flyer, I recommend Tarom because they serve good food on board and they have an overall good service. The best word to describe my flights with Tarom is classic.

BRU-OTP return in Business Class. Following my online check-in, I was able to drop off baggage both in BRU and OTP. Cabin crew friendly and professional. Business class offers 2x2 seat configuration with sufficient leg room. Overhead monitor provides the passenger with useful information on the flight. Hot towel, food, drinks and service on board deserve a big plus.

Istanbul to Bucharest with Tarom and the crew was friendly. The meal on-board was just fine. Prices are mostly reasonable and their planes seem to be well maintained and clean. On-board they offer enough legroom and the seats are really comfortable.

TAROM Romanian from Bucharest to Brussels. Last minute booking on the website, wich wasn't very pleasant as it produced a "404 page not found" error several times. Had to get a flight fast because of a family emergency. Ground service was good, nothing to say about that. Crew on the aircraft however was rude. No hello, no smiles - when they came around with the food the cabin crew woke me up quite rudly by opening the tray table and smashing it on my knee. When deboarding the flight, again no goodbye, no friendly smile no nothing. Ticket price was also over the top. Definitely no value for money.

Cluj Napoca to Vienna, and I found an outstandingly cheap TAROM ticket for this flight. Aircraft was clean and in good shape. Cabin crew friendly, attentive and helpful. Flight was fully booked, warm breakfast served. Pilot informed about the short delay, which didn't create any inconvenience.
