Interjet is actually a pretty decent budget airline. They fly to quite a few destinations within Mexico, and even to a few other countries in the region. Checked baggage is included in the ticket price as are assigned seats. One of the biggest problems I've found with Interjet, is really a problem with seemingly all Mexican airlines. That is, they are not honest with their customers when flights are delayed. Signs will continue to say "a tiempo" and there will be no announcements, even after the departure time has lapsed. Even still, for the price, Interjet is a pretty good option.

WORST AIRLINE EVER!!! and I'm pretty sure you've read this before by other consumers!!! Don't expect a friendly airline and even worst if you expect them to work with cancellations. First and foremost they don't speak English and if they do, they're very limited on their comprehensive skills. Second after I was on hold for 1 hour (RIDICULOUS!!!) they hung up I had 3 different phones trying to contact them to cancel my flight. Afterwards they suggested me calling them back be they didn't have the capability to correct their OWN mistake and give me a courtesy call. The flight was leaving in two hours! They representatives are RUDE AND DECIDED to disconnect rather than to transfer me to a supervisor. STAY AWAY!!! I would rather fly on the wing of any other airline than ever consider this one again!

This is a great airline... The planes are modern. Leg space is very comfortable. Nice beverage service, liquor for free! What's neat is when we were taking off and landing we got to see the landing on a screen because there is a camera attached to the bottom of the plane it was really exciting! What a concept. Very clever --well done, Internet!

Flying to Houston from Guatemala, connecting in Mexico City is unsafe because luggage gets lost and the airline does not respond for lost luggage. I thought I had saved money on the tickets, but I lost even more money having the airline loose my luggage.

InterJet was a very pleasant surprise. New planes, massive legroom and crisps and Corona thrown in. On time flights both ways from Mexico City to Cancun.
On our return leg we hit Mexico City airport at rush hour when the queues were very long - about a 30 minute wait, but Interjet recovered the situation by having a member of staff handing out free coffees. Had we got there 30 minutes later, there would have been no queue.
Other budget carriers could learn a thing or two from Interjet.

We flew between Mexico City and Acapulco with Interjet and we were positively surprised by their service level. Even though it was a very short flight (less than an hour), they still offered a lot of leg space and complimentary snacks and beverages. The check in process went smooth as well. I could wish that all airliners were like Interjet!

I travelled roundtrip from Chetumal to Mexico City on Interjet (Airbus 320) on my way to Pachuca, Hidalgo (Feb 13-15, 2014). This aircraft carries 150 people. The flying time going was 1 hr 50 min and returning 1 hr 30 min. The weather was perfect, and so was the flight! This is my fourth time in 5 years flying Interjet on this very same route. I can get a bit too nervous when flying and I much appreciate the info display of how far we are along on the trip route. Music selection on board is also quite good. Of course, we could do with a wider choice of heartier snacks and beverages on board - my only complaint; but over all, I was relaxed and comfortable throughout my flight!

Guatemala-Mexico city/Monterrey-Cancun, they are no longer a no frills airlines, I found them quite pricey if compared to other airlines in Mexico. But their service is good, nothing special, but nothing poorly presented. Planes are new and staff young and fresh, no entertainment on board bring your own... would fly them again, only if the price is right.

We had a great experience on Interjet from Puerto Vallarta to Cancun (through Toluca). We had a lot of baggage but it wasn't a problem. The aircraft were great, brand new Sukhoi jets. FREE TEQUILA. Really very pleased with the whole experience. On board TV shows were a little bizarre. They also had a camera in the nose of the aircraft that they turned on for takeoff and landing.
