Destination atlas

Choose the gateway before building the itinerary

Use these guides to compare airports, arrival transport, areas worth using as a base and the seasonal pattern of the trip.

A destination page earns its place by helping with a real choice. It should identify the viable gateway set, explain the final transfer and give location anchors that make accommodation searches more precise. Country pages stay broad; city pages go deeper into the airport-to-neighbourhood journey.

Historic routes now rebuilt

The first route cohort comes from real URLs found in the rescued site, not manufactured keyword combinations. Route pages remain separate because they add an origin airport system, distance and connection decision that a destination-only page cannot answer.

How to use the atlas

Open the broad destination guide first, note the viable gateway codes and then follow a specific route where one exists. The page should help eliminate a bad airport or transfer before it sends the reader to a commercial search. That is the value test used for every new destination page.

For countries with several gateways, compare an open-jaw itinerary that arrives in one region and leaves from another. It can reduce backtracking and may be better value even when the airfare is slightly higher. City pages instead focus on the final airport-to-neighbourhood journey.

The gateway codes, local-money reference and location anchors make the pages comparable, while the arrival and season notes remain specific to each place. That combination is what separates the atlas from a list of repeated destination names.
