Check the carrier behind the fare

Airline pages explain current operating status, network role and the booking details that should be verified on the exact itinerary. Defunct and renamed airlines are explicitly marked.

Use the directory after a route search exposes the realistic carrier set. An airline profile helps interpret hub structure and current status; a ticket guide focuses on fare inclusions, operating carrier and connection protection. Neither page substitutes for the conditions displayed during checkout.

What the directory separates

An airline brand, marketing carrier and operating carrier are not always the same. Each guide distinguishes an operating airline from a discontinued or renamed brand and treats baggage, check-in and schedules as live details. Use the exact itinerary and fare conditions before purchase.

Profiles are also grouped by network role: a hub carrier, point-to-point airline, regional operator and leisure carrier create different connection and seasonality patterns. The label is a planning clue, not a quality score. Compare the flight that exists on the required date.

Historical brands stay visible only to resolve old searches and links; they are never presented as current booking options. Ticket-focused pages then provide a separate checklist for the all-in fare, baggage, airport and connection.

When two airlines appear on one itinerary, check whether the transfer is protected and which carrier controls check-in. The name printed most prominently on a search result is not always the operator responsible at the airport. Keep both the marketing and operating flight numbers in the travel notes.
