I just want to say the Lady at Animal boarding was awesome. She went beyond her job to mahe sure my cat Tiger got to fly with me. There was a mix up and she totally help save the day. The other people were also very helpful a friendly. Just want to make they got recognized for their outstanding work. Frankfurt on June 21, 2017.

Flying from Haneda to Munich and a month later from Munich to Hong Kong. Have flown Premium with Lufthansa before and have found their service and facilities to be ordinary. Food was disappointing and service was variable.

On 16 July flight LH953 was late, hence I only managed to get out of
the plane at Frankfurt at 11.45, rather than 11.25. I asked the flight
attendants to call Lufthansa so that they could send somebody to take
me straight to the gate to catch my Lufthansa connection LH 1338 to Budapest, but they told me to simply get there as soon as possible.
Please note: LUFTHANSA HAD SENT representatives to meet people who had
a connecting flight to Rome and one other destination. They were
waiting for them outside the plane.
I run to the relevant gate as fast as I could. I went through passport
control very quickly by using the automated gates and I was allowed to
do security without having to wait. No-one could have reached the gate
to catch my connection any faster.
I arrived at the gate to get my connection exactly at 12.10, five minutes
before departure time. The gate was closed and I was denied boarding.
I was given a boarding pass for the following flight, LH 1340, and
arrived in Budapest at 18.00 – 4hours and 15 min later than originally
planned. This caused several problems, as this was a business flight.
Avoid them.

I’m amazed with all the negative reviews written about Lufthansa as our experiences with them have always been very positive. My partner and I regularly fly with Lufthansa especially on long-haul flights and the most recent flights we took were to Buenos Aires during the Easter break 2017. We flew premium economy on our outbound flight and I may agree with other passengers that there is nothing special about that class. We upgraded to business class on our return flight and of course, the service was superb as expected. Our flight to Los Angeles last year via Munich was also with great service. Obviously, there are some minor issues one can encounter as what happened to me when I was checking in at London City Airport connecting through Frankfurt on my flight to Buenos Aires; the check-in counter staff seemed to be snappy at me and we had an exchange of words which left me with some negative feelings, but I’d thought I should forget it as this experience was ridiculous and this was somehow compensated by great service by the flight crew.

Our family use service of Lufthansa for last 25 years. But 22.06.2017 I had bad experience of using this company. They cancelled my flight Nr. LH893 from Riga to Frankfurt, so my son and I lost our flight from Frankfurt to Miami. The company offered us to fly 3 different airlines with 3 transfers. Each transfer to another flight I supposed to carry on the 32 kg luggage by myself. Usually only international direct flights accept 32 kg luggage. So I would have to buy other suitcases to sort my luggage. After that my son and I would have to bring all suitcases by our hands to the next gate. So it was absolutely impossible to accept this offer. I have to note that it was problems with communication with airport representatives in Riga cause Lufthansa doesn’t has it’s own representation in Riga, so stuff suppose to call to company by every question to solve the problem. As company cancelled our flight my son had lost his flight to Boston so he didn’t get to the sport camp. I had so many problems and expenses due to this situation. We wrote letters, called for many times, but we did not get any concrete answer. This attention to regular clients from worldwide famous airlines company looks weird. I just want to know how to solve this situation.

Horrible! Uncomfortable seats, broken seats and monitors, rude flight attendants. Can’t even begin to describe one of the worst experiences of my life, aside from saying it was two; since we also had to make the return trip. I will never even consider flying with this airline again. I will say I told you so up front, since I know most won’t listen.

Flew to Beijing with Lufthansa on the awesome A380 plane on the FRA-PEK leg. Cabin extremely quiet. Planes were clean and Lufhtansa flight attendants were very attentive, efficient and pleasant. Seats were comfortable and meals not too bad... Overall a nice flying experience

FRA to SFO - The most uncomfortable plane. The seat bottoms are too thin. The seat backs recline too far. Lufthansa flight attend. had to ask each traveler to push their seat back up everytime there was a meal served. If you sit by the window and you need to go to the toilet, you need to ask the center and aisle seat person to exit PLUS the center and aisle person in the row in front to put their seat up. 4 people need to move to get out.

After a previous bad experience with a SWISS I was a little worried about a trip with Lufthansa, but everything was different. After also perfect route from BUD to PEK via MUC with the A340-600 with great sevice and nice staff I was looking forward to the return flight with the A380-800 and was also why... The aircraft new and comfortable with enough space to sit and relax with a pretty decent offer entertainment system. Food tasty and sufficient. Metal cutlery added an even better feeling of eating. The highlight of my trip was incredibly nice and helpful staff who made my trip by plane from one of my greatest experiences in the aircraft at all. I want to thank to Martina Lissak and E. Alexandrova as well as all the staff in my section of the aircraft and tolerant passengers seated around a really pleasant flight. I really ENJOYED it! Thanks again.

I had a bad experience with a long travel with the airline. Just when I have a seat and I slept for a few minutes and miss out the drink offer and then I request for three cups of water. The male stewardess shout at me that there will be a second round and even order me to drop the wet towels to his collection first. After almost one hour I did not get any drink and another lady offer me drinks right after I made the request. Also at one time I return one set of breakfast to that stewardess, he seized it with force. It was quite an unpleasant experience and I was not that this airline after this.M

Lufthansa cancelled our original flight from Barcelona to Atlanta. When they re-booked our flight, not only is it 4 hours longer with an additional stop but they would not honor our business class seats even though they had availability. Do not ever fly this airline.

We have taken Lufthansa several times from New York to India, into Bombay (Mumbai -- Don't you wish the Indians would stop changing the names of almost everyplace?) and out of New Delhi and the service is always good and a reasonable price for what you get. Now that they have flat 180 degree seats the experience is much improved. Although the fares have risen for business class this year (2013-14) you can count on receiving real business class service AND at least for us, they have never lost any our bags, which Air France did regularly! Also Frankfurt airport is really a fun stop -- full of great shops and interesting food. So the time you spend there isn't boring. The Germans know how to take care of their passengers in an efficient and careful way. We have never had a complaint about Lufthansa and are not disappointed by their business class service.

Whell, not as good as I thought. The seat was quite uncomftortable without a pillow behind your head so this was a let down. A small meal was served 1 hour after departure and it was quite good and tasteful. The flight was smooth even though I couldn't sleep. Long story short, I think they should make their A321's better.

Lufthansa needs to improve the seats for a long comfortable international flight journey. Experienced great discomfort traveling in business class seats. For the price paid they should be flat bed seats instead 50 - 60% recline only. Reclined seats made it much worse causing leg cramps, getting in and out more difficult etc. If they don't offer flat bed, they shouldn't charge what they are charging. I will never pay that hefty price for those lousy seats.

Elderly international passenger in a wheelchair travelling in the business class with no mobility due to foot surgery with special assistance request was left in the airport lounge without any assistance against her request of going to the connecting flight gate.
That staff never returned to take her to the connecting flight, nor could get water or use the restroom.
Is this the service one expects?

I used to fly (a lot) with KLM & Air France, but last year I decided to try Lufthansa (... german correctness and discipline!... I thought). Well I can tell that I will never use this airline, even for free tickets.
Why? Not because they lost my luggage and delivered it after 4 days (it happends), not because the third party working for them in Budapest are complete ignorants and never communicate or pick-up the phone, not because nothing seemed to get moving until I sent an e-mail, CC-ing the CEO of Lufthansa, but BECAUSE:
When my luggage was delivered, it turned out they kept it in the rain for days, everything was wet and ruined. This shows a complete lack of responsability and major neglect! We, the passangers, are good only to pay and pay and pay.
Than a Canadian rep. throws at me the "corporate" slogan, and refers me to the "Montreal Agreement".
Good Bye Lufthansa!

Flew from USA to Kiev, Ukraine on 8/6/15 on Lufthansa. When I arrived Kiev my suitcase was not there. Went to Lost and Found and filed report. I had some questions and they directed me to the Lufthansa office, The Lufthansa employee said they did not know how to answer my questions and could not help. In 5 days my suitcase was delivered to me. Driver told me it would have been there sooner but Lufthansa gave them the wrong address.

The flight crew was very friendly, the seat was what to expect in economy, the food ok.
Baggage was handled excellent. The pilot was an outgoing character, and I can say I enjoyed the flight although I have a fear of flying, maybe it was the excellent white whine they serve. Lufthansa is the way to go.

I booked a great seat with lots of legroom just to find out that someone at Lufthansa decided to give the seat away against my will. Even though my boarding pass still had my original seat # on it. and on top of it... customer service pretty much said that there's nothing they can do to remedy the situation outside of giving me refund for the seat which at that point was pretty much worthless considering the lost convenience factor.
Here's a simple concept that the GERMANS may not understand when it comes to doing business in the U.S. If you want to change your customer's seat, a good business practice would be to change the seat to something of "EQUAL or BETTER VALUE". not a worst seat assignment without an apology. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and seriously in need of ATTITUDE check. I will never fly Lufthansa again. fortunately i do have options.
